In case you haven't heard, there's a Facebook group called 'Colouring In Truth' which I set up to make it easier to share my colouring pages with a 'few friends' about 2 1/2 months ago. My 'few friends' have since turned into a largeish community (currently sitting at just over 3000 people from many different countries! I just can't get over it!) where people share their colouring efforts, encourage each other to read and reflect on God's word creatively, and share their own reflective artworks for others to enjoy or colour in. It's been very encouraging. I really feel that this whole project has hit a spot for many people and that it is a timely thing to have such a group. We're even having our first colouring gathering in a week!

Glory to God for the way he works things out in his timing!

Postcards

The first lot of postcards are almost ready!

These are the two designs and they will go on sale soon as we get them back from the printers! (We had a bit of a false start and thus a little delay...these things are never quite as straight forward as we'd hope!) With the purchase of the physical cards, you will also get a download link to an A4 PDF version of the design which you can print and colour too! They will be available in mixed packs of 4 or 10, or single design packs of 4 or 10, or you can buy individual cards. They measure 105 x 148 mm and are printed on lovely uncoated 350 gsm stock which makes them suitable for colouring with a variety of media.

My hope for these postcards is that they will be used as tools for prayer and encouragement, as well as for the joy of colouring. Pray for a friend as you colour in, then write a lovely note on the back and send them the card! They might also be a nice gift to take home from a church women's event, or other special event. Ah, the possibilities!

I am so excited to welcome you to Lorien Illustrations!

Here you will find illustrated Bible passages for you to colour in, ideas for creative scripture journaling and reflection, and information about new resources.

The past weeks have been a wild ride. A month ago I was a mum drawing pretty  designs and reflecting on scripture in the privacy of my own journal, in spare moments here are there. A few pictures shared online with friends (then friends of friends of friends...) and an overwhelmingly huge response later, I find myself here - with a website - making plans to release a colouring book, drawing designs for cards and thanking God for the myriad of amazing opportunities he's given me recently to use my pen to encourage others.

Colouring in is relaxing and fun, but even more than that, I hope these drawings of mine help you grow closer to the God who loves us, as you reflect on his word.
